About the Guild

The Karaoke Guild is an international grassroots coalition of singers, musicians, song publishers, and music patrons who share a passion for contributing to live musical entertainment experiences, either through singing, writing, performing, or supporting musical performances.

On April 2, 2001, Westward Connections Inc. registered the karaokeguild.com domain and within days the first edition of our web presence was launched. The company registered the American Karaoke Guild as a DBA and proceeded to enlist karaoke passionistas to help with building the organization.  For the next five years, the Guild produced and hosted a variety of events featuring or focused on Karaoke. In the fall of 2006, we decided to pull back on our event program and accepted an offer to host a weekly karaoke show at Heros and Legends, a nightclub located a few blocks away from where we lived. By the time that gig ended a year later, karaoke popularity had wained, so we backed away from gigs.

Now that we are in the new century of sharing and caring, karaoke has become extremely popular again. We are busy re-inventing the Guild. We own several karaoke domains to complement our efforts in promoting karaoke. We are looking for strategic partners to work with us in moving forward.

Our mission is to unite singers, service providers, producers, and patrons who share a passion for appearing in or supporting live performances to increase public awareness of the benefits of singing karaoke.
